She brings expertise in strategic development, national and local policy, grant making and community development, drawing on experience gained with non-profit and public service organisations in Ireland. Margaret held the role of Senior Projects Manager at the Combat Poverty Agency for many years and later moved into organisational development consultancy focusing on inter-disciplinary working and modernising public services. Thomas is a member of the Irish Traveller community and a long-time Traveller activist. He was a founding member in the 1980s of Minceir Misli, the first Traveller-only organisation, and has since represented the Traveller community at national and international level in a broad range of contexts, including on the National Traveller and Roma Inclusion Strategy Committee.
